Today prejudice, even hate, keeps this Taylor, Texas prison on the map. The Williamson County Commissioners Court authorized the Corrections Corp of America (CCA) to use 512 prison beds as of May 2006 on property dedicated as a 'farm workers Sanctuary' between 1947 and 1975. Early activists fought racists who beat or hung Blacks and Latinos seen outside “their part of Town”. Now, shortly after a CCA Vice President’s stock market holdings earned +/- $16.31 per share in one day, ours clearly involves a repeat performance.

Contact Psychotherapist Ken Koym to speak with your group, synagogue, church, mosque or association. Let's meet so we may dialogue about the grave losses forced on asylum seekers deported to what is no longer their homes. Often the scenario is horrible for deportees and tragic for today's US image. If requested we may view a DVD describing life in the Taylor family prison. Set a date by calling 512.215.4798; emailing koym@dialoguemakers.org or writing 9704 Monarch Lane, Austin TX 78724.
